Fred has over 30 years of land use and forestry related experience in the public and private sectors. He served as Deputy Minister for the Department of Forestry, Lands and Wildlife of Alberta. He was involved in all aspects of forestry administration and management, including provincial programs for forest industry development, forest fire control, forest management, forest land use and silviculture/reforestation. As Vice-President and General Manager of Weyerhaeuser Canada Ltd. (Alberta) he managed the wood panel and dimension lumber operations in Alberta. Fred’s experience in regulatory and land use issues related to reducing project risk is vast and invaluable.
