John Zaozirny

John served as Alberta’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources from 1982 to 1986, having first been elected as a Member of the Alberta Legislature in 1979. He negotiated the end to the National Energy Program on behalf of the Alberta Government, resulting in the Western Energy Accord. He is the current Chairman of Pengrowth Energy. John provides IMC with timely and insightful advice in all of its practice areas with particular emphasis on government relations in Western Canada and management surrounding the natural resources industry.
