Jeff Paquin

Jeff began his career as a lawyer in BC, providing legal and business development advice to various Aboriginal clients in the BC central interior. Jeff has provided consultation services to Nations clients: engaging and negotiating with governments, other First Nations, Industry and general consultation – with the objective of assisting First Nations in achieving their business development goals. Jeff’s experience includes development of a joint venture with 6 First Nations communities for a proposed $200 million bio-energy facility with BC Hydro. In 2014 Jeff supported TransCanada Indigenous Relations and brought his expertise to the role of Alberta Aboriginal Relations Manager. Jeff successfully led the development of new strategies, innovative tools and progressive concepts, while overseeing $7 billion of pipeline and related facilities projects and collaborating with major project departments in the development and execution of over $50 million in Aboriginal procurement and business development. Jeff has a broad range of experience in business development, multi-level negotiation, First Nations engagement and collaboration, and relationship building and strategic management.
