David has an extensive background in business and politics. From 2008 to 2015 David was a MLA in Alberta during which time he held several Parliamentary Assistantships and Committee Chairmanships. Prior to his time with government, David had a number of positions in the private sector. He was a partner at China TYT Liquid-Air Inc., which specialized in industrial gases for seven years where he was responsible for marketing both domestically and internationally. He later found his own company China Ventures Inc., which exported agricultural products and breeding cattle from Canada to China. After which, he became managing-director and CEO of Saudi Arabia East and West Trading Co., which specialized in importing and exporting petroleum equipment. David has also acted as a consultant to Nortel, Bombardier and Motorola for specific projects they have conducted in China. He has particular expertise in business development and a strong knowledge of the oil and gas, and agriculture sectors.
