James has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with particular expertise in Saskatchewan and Alberta. He was previously General Manager for North Canadian Oil (NCO) in its Regina office where primary responsibilities included government relations and accompanying royalty issues as well as natural gas marketing. Later he was Vice President, Operations for Lateral Vector Resources, a publicly traded oil and gas company based in Regina. He has also been involved with start-ups and acquisitions in the energy industry in Saskatchewan. Over the last decade he has consulted on oil and gas related issues providing business development, government relations and regulatory support services. He also sits on the boards of several companies, including SaskEnergy, Kineticor Resource Corporation and Keystone Royalty Corporation.
